Do you think Antoine is mentally disabled and retarded?
Do you think that Antoine has ADD or ADHD to developed the mental
retardation with mental disabilities that makes him a destructable
uncontrolable retarded crybaby annoying lazy cowardly accidental klutzy
Mobian and a jinx which to get everyone killed or killed nearly or
embrasses everyone by accidents just like Irwin The Penguin from Timon
& Pumbaa and they might have to about planning to ditch him or
maybe even running away from him that Antoine annoys everyone and
drives them crazy like doing stupid things or annoying everyone and
stuff like that and all?
BTW? My name is Geggse and I'm from Reinbeck IA and I have autism and

As for me I do not believe Antoine has any sort of disability other
than his usual tendency to be cowardly... though that's not technically
a disability but only part of his persona. |

(new here. A way for me to discuss about Sonic comics, and to improve my English.)
I don't know if Antoine suffers any mental trouble (though I figured he
was quite brave before his father disappeared ?) but one thing is
certain: he's NOT French. Because his name is not a French name, is
unpronouncable in French, is not French language. I don't know who got
the idea of this name. But he does not know French syntax and locutions.
"D'" is ALWAYS followed by a vowel.
You want a GOOD real French name for this character ?
Antoine de Collet (pronounce "Kollay") could be perfect.
Close to the current name, sounds nicer - and realistic.
Plus, "alors" is a bad exclamation. Alone, it means an introduction to
something: "Alors... What do we have there ?" If you want the precise
term, say "ça alors !" (and pronounce "ssa")

Hi! It's always nice to see new people here!
I always assumed that Antoine's last name was originally a proper
French name, but got Anglocized (sp?) at some point to make it easier
for locals to prounounce. (A similar thing happened to my family
centuries ago when we moved from Europe to the U.S.) I'm not a patient person, especially when I have to wait. |

I always considered that he was abused as a child. I mean, his father
is a jerk - almost as much a jerk as Max - and obviously hates him.
I think that's closer to the truth than ADD.

I believe Geggse is referring to Antoine in SatAM, where we never
learned anything about his family. The Antoine in Archie may have
started out the same way, but he'd changed from that a long time ago.
It's one of the reasons I never felt the "change" in Antoine we saw in Home
was totally out of the blue. All it needed was a catalyst, and Bunnie
gave us the beginnings to finding out what that catalyst could have
been. Whether nor not that will continue to be developed or shelved is
the million dollar question.

There might be a grain of truth in that statement somewhere considering
his father was one of the few mobians that when robotisized instead of
becoming a mindless drone turned into one of Robotniks sub bosses and a
kill happy one at that(There has to be some psychology going on there).
Care to elaborate on what made you think this Harley?

since then. (Except for the bit in #152) His character could have

A little bit yet, I think... Let's see: he's more thoughtful. He
pretends fighting Sonic (who he thinks being Evil Sonic) but does not
really because he needs him to return home.

Geggse, there is NO PROOF that Ant is mentally disabled. I cut you some
slack earlier because you were new here, but I would really like it if
you wouldn't make blanket statements about ADD (or autism) making you a
coward. As someone who is afflicted with a mental disorder, I do NOT

Regarding Antoine's mental ability, I don't know why one would think
that Antoine was retarded or disabled. Does being cowerdly and arrogant
indicate a disability? I don't think so.
As far as Antoine's development as a character, I'm sure the Antoine we
get back once this mess is over will be in many ways changed, but still
recognizable.
Finally, on the subject of Antoine's father, Harley, what you said is not true at all.
